Qi aie deficiencies
Qi deficiency is mostly caused by congenital insufficiency of endowment, or acquired malnutrition, or excessive wear and tear, or prolonged illness, or impaired functions of organs such as lungs, spleens and kidneys, and insufficient biochemistry of qi. Comparing modern medicine from the causes, symptoms and pulse signs of disease, Qi deficiency is very similar to the concept of "sub-health" in modern medicine. The basic cause of sub-health is the insufficiency of yin and yang, Qi and blood, and the low function of the five viscera, which is also consistent with the insufficiency of vital energy and Qi deficiency.
Qi deficiency involves five zang-organs. Qi is the most basic substance that constitutes the human body and maintains its life activities, and belongs to the category of human essence. The essence of the human body is stored in the five zang organs respectively, so the book Su Wen Wu Zang Bi Lun says, "The so-called five Zang people can store the essence without purging it". Therefore, from the point of view of the source of Qi, the Qi which constitutes the human body and maintains the human life activities mainly includes two aspects: the innate essence and the acquired essence. In terms of the relationship between the generation of Qi and the viscera, the five zang organs all contain essence, especially the lung, spleen and kidney.
Qi deficiency and five Zang-organs Qi deficiency. Qi deficiency refers to the pathological state of viscera function decline and low disease resistance, which will produce a series of clinical symptoms. But because the gas reservoir is in the five Zang organs, under normal circumstances, Qi deficiency is inevitably related to the function of the Zang organ. Su Wen Fang Sheng Fall Theory describes the different dreams caused by lung Qi deficiency, kidney Qi deficiency, spleen Qi deficiency, heart Qi deficiency and liver Qi deficiency. Therefore, the pathological concept of Qi deficiency should include five Zang-organs Qi deficiency.
